christianity answers islamAuthor(s): Daniel Mullata
Publisher: N/A
Price: $3.99       Buy Now!

The coming of this book, Christianity Answers Islam, is a fulfillment of a Biblical prophecy by the prophet Isaiah herein revealed.
What started as an ordinary challenge by Muslim friends to a Catholic workmate in the military to convert to Islam turns into a great search for the true religion between Islam and Christianity that later leads to investigation of all the major religions of the world for their truthfulness. The search for the true religion through the Quran leads Mullata Daniel back into Christianity with a new vigour, after reading the Quran three times over, discovering the merits of Christianity through the Quran of Islam. Today, he confidently says “The Quran made me Christian” as he narrates his story. Though majoring on the two major religions which are Christianity and Islam, Christianity Answers Islam is eventually about all religions. It provides the best opportunity for Christians to understand Islam and Muslims to understand Christianity and for those seeking to know which religion is true and are confused between the diverse opinions of the many religions to find clear answers. Probably the first book ever written to prove all religions for their truthfulness or the lack of it. It is here to answer many pertinent questions about religions; – questions here-to-fore dreaded and avoided by humanity and accepted as questions without answers. Can humans ever agree on the right religion? Is there a way to know what is true and what is not true in religions besides everyone defending his own? Are all human beings created by the same God after all and will they all face a common situation after death? Judging from the diversity of their beliefs, it SEEMS Muslims are created by Allah and will be answerable to Allah according to his rules, it seems Christians are created by Jehovah and will be answerable to Him according to His rules, the Hinduism followers are created by Brahma and will be answerable to him while still, the Atheists were created by no one and will be answerable to no one and will vanish into nothingness after death, they alone. Could this be true at all? No! The way all human beings have a lot in common only means they have a common origin and certainly a common destiny beyond the grave. After all, why do we have so many religions in our world today? It is simple. It’s because we had many religious founders in our past generations. Each religious founder or group of founders brought his/their unique ideologies which are now the diverse religions and each of them worked hard to get more followers to their ideologies and now the believers of each ideology giving birth to their children and teaching the same to their offspring. Today, many adherents of the diverse religions are those who found themselves in those religions by coincidence of the faith of their parents and not personal choice in the first place. The religious founders brought a lot of contradicting ideas which all can’t be true. Among them, who told us the truth, and who lied to us about God? Religion is a matter of life and death because our eternity depends on what we believe today.
Christianity answers Islam provides answers to:
•Does God exist?
•Is Jesus God?
•Is Muhammad a prophet?
•Is God a Trinity?
•Quran or Bible, which is the word of God?
•Creation or evolution, what is the merit of science in religion?
•Will we reincarnate or wait for judgement after death?
•Catholic or protestant, which is true Christianity?
•Saturday or Sunday, which is the right day of worship?
With these questions answered from the scriptures in this new release, Christianity Answers Islam is likely to become the next frontier of the religious debates.

Sensitive Preaching to the Sexually HurtingAuthor(s): Dr. Sam Serio
Publisher: Kregel Publications

Today’s church has sadly failed to minister to men and women deeply affected by porn, abortion, rape, casual sex, a sexless marriage, same-sex attraction, or childhood sexual abuse. Church leaders know these broken people sit in their pews. What they don’t know is what to say to them. Those who would speak out directly from the pulpit worry that they will be unwise or insensitive, whatever their intent to the contrary. They may even fear being fired and losing their ministry altogether.

The truth is that seminary curriculums rarely prepare preachers to talk about sex in their sermons. Despite the pervasiveness of sexual wounds in the church, preachers tend to either ignore them and say nothing or abhor them without nuance and condemn. Sam Serio posits a powerful and necessary middle ground: preaching that offers forgiveness, transformation, and restoration.

Sensitive Preaching to the Sexually Hurting is a ready-to-use resource written from a preaching perspective. Serio examines the causes and consequences of the seven most difficult sexual issues of today. Moreover, he provides appropriate wording to use in crafting sermons, along with corresponding Scripture texts. He examines how preachers can prepare their churches, their hearts, and their sermons for the topic, and how these can all work together to build a healthier future for their congregations and the wider church body.

Templeton Foundation Character Project’s Character Essay and Book Prize Competition award winner!

What does it mean to love God with all of our minds?

Our culture today is in a state of crisis where intellectual virtue is concerned. Dishonesty, cheating, arrogance, laziness, cowardice–such vices are rampant in society, even among the worlds most prominent leaders. We find ourselves in an ethical vacuum, as the daily headlines of our newspapers confirm again and again. Central to the problem is the state of education. We live in a technological world that has ever greater access to new information and yet no idea what to do with it all.

In this wise and winsome book, Philip Dow presents a case for the recovery of intellectual character. He explores seven key virtues–courage, carefulness, tenacity, fair-mindedness, curiosity, honesty and humility–and discusses their many benefits. The recovery of virtue, Dow argues, is not about doing the right things, but about becoming the right kind of person. The formation of intellectual character produces a way of life that demonstrates love for both God and neighbor.

Dow has written an eminently practical guide to a life of intellectual virtue designed especially for parents and educators. The book concludes with seven principles for a true education, a discussion guide for university and church groups, and nine appendices that provide examples from Dows experience as a teacher and administrator.

Virtuous Minds is a timely and thoughtful work for parents and pastors, teachers and students–anyone who thinks education is more about the quality of character than about the quantity of facts.

Have you ever asked “Why did God allow Adam and Eve to sin? Why did he create mosquitoes? What is God’s plan for me?” Sometimes we have really tough questions. We wonder if there is anyone who can give us an answer. Some questions are about life, some are about death – some of them are even about God. How can we get answers to questions about God and the Bible? Well – one way is to read the Bible – the Word of God. Joel Beeke helps us by taking our questions about life, death, sin, salvation and many other topics we can find confusing and teaching us what God says in his Word. Sometimes we have tough questions, sometimes we don’t get the answers we want or expect, but the Word of God is faithful and we can trust that what we need to know, God will reveal to us.

Children from a variety of backgrounds have come up with the questions in this book and Joel Beeke has done his best to answer these in the light of God’s Word. These are real questions from real children in real life situations – and a real pastor with a genuine concern for their souls takes them to the one true God and the real gospel.
