Gospel eBooks Facebook Cover

The folks at Ebook Cover Designs are the creators of our first three Facebook Covers. This is a new section we’ve recently added which we hope to add to regularly.

They recently wrote an article entitled “How To Optimize Your Social Networks Use To Increase Your Book Exposure” and featured our covers as their example.

Here’s a snippet:

With so much noise in the industry, authors need to find all the little ways they can promote their books. Facebook, Twitter and Google+ can all be great help. And a small tweak in your profile may end up making you new connections online and getting additional fans.  That small trick is using free advertising space on your profile… [READ THE REST]

We’re thankful to them for featuring us in this article and for all the work they put in on our covers. They did a great job, didn’t they?

If you’re a graphic designer and you too would like to partner with us on various projects please contact us with examples of your work.

Have you used or are currently using one of our Facebook Covers? If so, let us know about it in the comments section.

How to Return a Kindle Book

Have you ever bought a Kindle book too quickly then regretted it? Ever bought the wrong book? Have you ever bought one because you thought it was free or discounted but the deal had already expired? If so, we’ve got some good news: you can easily get a full refund. Returning a Kindle book is a simple process and we’re going to walk you through it.

Return Policy

On the Amazon Kindle return policy they state “Books you purchase from the Kindle Store are eligible for return and refund if we receive your request within seven days of the date of purchase.”

Has it been 7 days or less since you purchased the book you want to return? If so, let’s go get your money back!

The Process

In five easy steps we’ll have that unwanted book gone and your hard earned money back in your account.

Step #1: Go to “Manage your Content and Devices“.
Step #2: Login to your account.
Step #3: Find the book you want to return and click the “+” button to the left of it.
Find the book you want to return and click the "+" button to the left of it.
Step #4: Click “Return for Refund”
Step #4: Click "Return for Refund"
Step #5: Select your reason for returning and then click “Return for Refund”.
Step #5: Select your reason for returning and then click "Return for Refund".

Amazon then informs you that “by returning this item, it will be removed from your account and devices. The refund will be credited to your original form of payment within 3-5 business days.”

You’re all done! See, that was easy.

How To Give A Kindle Book As A Gift

Christmas is just around the corner and many are now thinking about gifts they’d like to give this year. Maybe you’re shopping for a friend who’s a digital reader and were wondering how you can give them a book this Christmas. Amazon has made this process simple and I’d love to teach you how to use their “Give as a Gift” feature.

How it Works

Give As A Gift ButtonWhen you’re looking at a Kindle book, underneath the “buy” button you will see “give it as a gift”. When you click on that you’ll be asked to sign in and then will be directed to the gift screen.

When you’re on the gift screen you’ll see an option called “delivery date”. This allows you to buy an e-book now, while it’s on sale but the recipient won’t receive it until the day you set.

E-Books under the Tree

Here’s an idea: how about you keep your eyes peeled for an e-book or series that would make a great gift. Then when it’s on sale, buy it for them and set it to be delivered on December 25th. Then on Christmas morning they’ll wake up and experience that new book joy.

Discussion

Have you ever received a Kindle book as a gift? Are you planning on giving any Kindle e-books away this Christmas?

This morning Jeremy, founder of Gospel eBooks had a guest post published on Jeff Goin’s blog.

We’re hoping it’s a help to the many self-published authors who regularly visit and submit their book on this site.

Here’s an excerpt:

As the owner of a website that promotes eBook deals, I receive a lot of self-published submissions. When I sort through these books, more than three quarters of them are rejected in the first three seconds. Why? Their book cover is poorly designed.

And if you’re a self-published author (or even a traditionally-published one), I have some bad news for you: Your book is being judged by its cover.
