“Social media. What a blessing it is—and what a curse! In this book, Jeff Johnson takes us by the hand to the fountain of eternal wisdom to help us know how to handle this latest revolution in social communication.”
—Conrad Mbewe, pastor of Kabwata Baptist Church and founding chancellor of the African Christian University in Lusaka, Zambia

While social media has many benefits, it often serves as a breeding ground for divisiveness and hostility. Hidden behind our screens, we are often tempted to type things we would never say aloud.

With wisdom from the Proverbs, Pastor Jeff Johnson offers five practical questions that can help us cultivate heavenly wisdom in our use of social media:

• Am I controlled?
• Am I calm?
• Am I careful?
• Am I compassionate?
• Am I conscientious?

Read Taming the Fingers to turn social media into a tool for God’s glory.

Biblical and natural theology may not appear to mix, but the two actually do belong together. Vos’s reputation as the father of contemporary biblical theology is not negated by his earlier teaching of natural theology, appearing here for the first time in English.

Gathered from source material found in the Heritage Hall archives at Calvin Seminary and University, these are the earliest notes of Vos’s lectures on natural theology. They demonstrate his understanding of Reformed orthodox approaches as well as extensive knowledge of contemporary developments in the subject.

The present volume could be regarded as, and may have formed, a partial introduction to Reformed Dogmatics since it lacks a prolegomenon and because Natural Theology discusses religion and the proofs for the existence of God.

To know that we are not alone, to come to depend on one another, and to work together for the good of the lost and the glory of God—these are vital needs of the church in every age, but perhaps especially today. The letter of Paul to the Philippians, written amid suffering, yet ringing with joy, calls for precisely this kind of Christian unity.

In this expository commentary, David T. A. Strain develops the apostle’s theme that the life of a Christian is incomplete and immeasurably weakened when lived apart from the fellowship of the whole church.

Strain not only provides a faithful explanation of the epistle to the Philippians but also shows the contemporary relevance and urgency of its message.

Fear—it’s something we all experience. Fears about the future, an illness, or what others might think about us can rule our hearts and steal our joy. Did you know, though, that the Bible commands Christians to fear?

Believers are to fear the Lord. But what does that mean? In A Holy Fear, Christina Fox unpacks what the “fear of the Lord” means and what it looks like in our lives. By giving examples of such fear in the Bible, exploring the fruits of that fear in our lives, and uncovering God’s promises to those who fear Him, this book will help you disarm your lesser fears, applying what you learn to your heart and turning to a fear of the Lord.

All of us think about the end times. When we reflect on what will happen not only when we die but when this present age ends, some combination of ideas, images, hopes, and fears floods our minds. In The Future of Everything, William Boekestein encourages us to allow our thoughts on the end times to be guided by God’s Word. While combing the Scriptures to find direction related to subjects like death, the millennial kingdom, the return of Christ, the resurrection, judgment, heaven, and hell, Boekestein helps us cultivate a vision for the future that impacts our walk before God’s face today.
