The book of Romans is rich in doctrinal truth. In Expository Outlines and Observations on Romans Rob Ventura mines these truths and offers quick, accessible, expository nuggets for preachers and teachers. With a thoroughly Reformed view, Ventura has taken each passage of Romans and helps pastors prepare sermons that will help congregations dig deep into this excellent book. The exegesis of the original Greek is beneficial without being highly technical, and readers are aided on their journey by some of church history’s finest, including Luther, Calvin, Spurgeon, and Lloyd Jones.

For each passage Ventura highlights:
– A central theme
– A homiletical outline
– Exegetical and practical insights
– Applications for the church
– Applications for non–believers
An excellent addition to any preacher’s bookshelf, this book will not only enrich your preaching, but also cause your own heart to marvel anew at the grace of God.

Bestselling author Lynn Austin returns with a luminous work of historical fiction set amid the opulence of Gilded Age New York, where three generations of women in one family must reckon with the choices they have made and their hopes for the future.

New York, 1898. The only thing more shocking than Arthur Stanhope III’s unexpected death is the revelation that his will bestows his company—and most of the vast fortune that goes with it—to the nearest male heir, leaving his mother, wife, and daughter nearly impoverished. His widow, Sylvia, quickly realizes she must set aside her grief to ensure their daughter, Adelaide, is launched into society as soon as the appropriate mourning period passes. If Sylvia can find a wealthy husband for Addy before anyone realizes they’re practically destitute, there will be little disruption to the lifestyle they’re accustomed to.

Embark on an enlightening journey into the cryptic world of Daniel’s time prophecies, where the sacred pages illuminate startling visions of an unearthly Sanctuary system. Delve deep into the layers of mystery and meaning as we unravel the prophetic threads that have captivated generations.

Our study takes a grounded approach, rooted in the solid foundation of Scripture, unlike imaginative prophecy fiction. Discover hidden truths as we navigate through the labyrinth of prophecy. Let the haze distill in our minds like a foggy mist on cool grass.

We explore the historical interpretation of Bible prophecy, tracing back to the early pioneers. Journey through the tapestry of truth woven by Christians from many denominations, each offering a unique perspective on prophecy.

Through the lens of biblical types and shadows, we seek to uncover the brilliance of Daniel’s prophetic gems and the alignment of their settings with historical events, like a skilled jeweler crafts a crown of gemstones.

How can we (created beings) know God (the Creator)?

Throughout history, the church has recognized the importance of studying and understanding God’s attributes. As the Creator of all things, God is unique and cannot be compared to any of his creatures, so to know him, believers turn to the pages of Scripture. In The Attributes of God, renowned theologian Gerald Bray leads us on an exploration of God’s being, his essential attributes, his relational attributes, and the relevance of his attributes to our thinking, lives, and worship. As we better understand God’s attributes, we will learn to delight in who God is and how he has made himself known to us in Scripture.

This book was first published in 1870 by Charles H. Hoole (d. 1901).WE owe to the discovery of the Codex Sinaiticus the Greek text of the epistle of St. Barnabas.1 In that manuscript it comes at the end of the New Testament, between the Book of Revelation and the Shepherd of Hernias, with which the manuscript concludes, The heading is simply the Epistle of Barnabas, and the title is repeated at the end. Previous to the discovery of this manuscript, though a considerable portion of the Greek remained, chapters 1-4 were lost, and the epistle was known chiefly by an ancient Latin version, which is itself imperfect, the three concluding chapters being lost ; the portion which remained in Greek furnished only a very inferior text, and the epistle could not consequently be read in a state which would assure us that we had the work in the same shape as it presented in the Ante-Nicene period.from the Introduction
