Begin Praying With God’s Many Names
Let’s get pastor and people on the same page concerning Thanksgiving and Christmas. The following book will get everyone in your church praying about Thanksgiving and Christmas. Then there is Bible study on the same topic. Finally, there is a sermon/lesson outline to tie it all together.
Two years ago this was our Thanksgiving and Christmas project for the Pastor’s Bible Class at Thomas Road
Baptist Church. I have taught that class for 32 years and wanted to focus church members on the spiritual challenge of Thanksgiving and Christmas. So, I taught these lessons and the people prayed and God began to work.
Where there is hope, there is life, victory, and endless possibility!
Where there is hope, there is fertile soil for abundant life, miracles, answered prayers, and blessings.
While there has been much teaching on the subject of faith, hope often goes unnoticed. But faith can only possess what we hope for (Heb. 11:1). Hope is essential!
What is true hope?
The Bible’s definition of hope stands in sharp contrast to the world’s. While worldly hope is nothing more than wishful thinking. Scripture paints a picture of hope as a confident expectation that releases supernatural power.

Renowned preacher and author, Derek Prince writes on the power of hope as…
A window into God’s perspective of reality.
A sure anchor in every one of life’s storms.
A deep well from which to draw during times of spiritual drought.
A supernatural force, empowering persistent in prayer until God’s promises are manifest.
Lay hold of the unshakable power of hope, and step into increased blessings in your life today!
This expanded edition of the original best-seller includes a daily devotional for personal reflection and a study guide.
A God chaser is a person whose passion for God’s presence presses him to chase the impossible in hopes that the uncatchable might catch him. A child chases a loving parent until, suddenly, the strong arms of the father enfold the chaser. The pursuer becomes the captive; the pursued the captor. Paul put it this way: I chase after that I may catch that which has apprehended me (Phil. 3:12). The passionate paths of God chasers can be traced across the pages of history from Moses the stutterer, David the singer, and Paul the itinerant preacher, to contemporaries like A.W. Tozer, Leonard Ravenhill, and countless others who share one common bond: an insatiable hunger to know their Lord.

Do you know the truth behind the dressing up and trick-or-treating that are important parts of this holiday? If not, you need to read this book with your child.
Halloween comes every year—and so does the question: “Mommy, Why Don’t We Celebrate Halloween?”
Most likely, your child has either asked you this or will ask you in the future. This is why you should be ready to explain Halloween to a kid, sharing the dangers of Halloween and discussing Halloween as a pagan holiday.
This book will help your child have a Christian perspective on Halloween, making it clear why you don’t celebrate the holiday. It reveals, in story form, the truth behind the activities that have become such an accepted part of Halloween traditions.
Children who read this book and talk about it with their parents will learn how the “fun” of Halloween harms them. They will also learn what to say to others who do not understand the true meaning of Halloween.
A wonderful, classic tale along the lines of Lord of the Rings or The Chronicles of Narnia.
Camilla, age 12, and Ebeny, age 10, are sisters leading a normal, everyday life with their uncle. But one day all of that changes when they have suddenly whisked away to another world. In this new world, they uncover many secrets and befriend extraordinary-creatures who help them flee from Gorgon, an evil sorcerer who would do anything to destroy them. In the end, will good triumph over evil? ***** With imaginary creatures aplenty – gallops, sorcerers, runkeys, dragons, beacons – who fight for either good or evil, two young girls discover that they are actually elves, the last two elves alive. The Last Two must learn about their true identity, develop their magical talent and warrior skills, and then battle to defeat Gorgon, the evil enemy. In the final battle, they do indeed defeat Gorgon – at least for now. Elves of Zeoch immerses you in another world and reveals the strong power that lies in the bond between family and friends.
