We’re 4 Years Old Today!

Happy Birthday To Us!

Today we celebrate our 4th birthday! On Oct 19, 2010 we launched as the Twitter account @freeonkindle. A few months later we expanded to a full website under the name Gospel eBooks. With each year that goes by, the site continues to grow and for that, we are grateful. We want to thank you for making Gospel eBooks your go-to place for free & discounted Christian e-books. We’re in it for the long haul!

OUR GIFT TO YOU

On our fourth birthday we’d like to give away four e-books to four different people. To enter just leave a comment below with the following info: 1) let us know what e-book you’d like to read next ($10 or less) and 2) why you want to read it. We’ll hand-pick one male and one female winner and then the other two will be randomly selected. Winners will receive the Kindle version of the book they mentioned. The entry deadline is tomorrow night (Monday) at 11:59PM (MST).

YOUR GIFT TO US?

If you’d like to give us a present on our birthday, there’s a few simple non-monetary ways you could bless us. The first is, we’d really appreciate it if you’d like and follow us. The second is we’d appreciate it if you’d tell someone about us (through social media, your blog, joining the street team etc.). These would be awesome presents to us. A sincere thank you if you do!

  1. Happy 4th birthday!!! Thank you for the work you do – I have found many books because of receiving your e-mails. I would like to read “Extravagant Grace: God’s Glory Displayed in Our Weakness” by Barbara Duguid. I read a sample of her book and heard her on White Horse Inn and found her to be very knowledgeable about how we need grace especially in our weakness and hurt and depression. It was such an encouragement and I would like to read what more she has to say about God and His ‘extravagant grace,’ not only to receive it but also to learn how to give it to others. Thank you!

  21. Happy Birthday! You’ve been an immense blessing for many and a godsend for book aficionados! Our coffers are burgeoning thanks to your daily deals. :-)

  22. I would like to continue Gary Smalley’s wonderful series that he wrote with Dan Walsh. 25. The Insanity of Obedience by Nik Ripkin. Need to read as follow-up to The Insanity of God.

  26. Charne Gooch Says: October 19, 2014 at 11:40 am

I would like to read Louis Markos’ “Apologetics for the 21st Century”. I’m planting a church and would really like to use this book as a foundation for my team. I’m also a professor and would like to use it as a textbook for an apologetics class I’m writing/creating.

    Happy Birthday!!

Thank you. My brother and I are really benefited from your site.

I would like to read: Unbelieveable Gospel by Jonathan K. Dodson.
I want to have a better understanding how to make the Gospel relevant to people especially unbeliever, as I am really wrestling with this issue.

    • Hi, Christian. That’s an excellent goal! I’d like to also suggest “God Has a Wonderful Plan for Your Life” by Ray Comfort, which tells how to reach the lost simply, effectively, and biblically. It’s an incredible eye-opening book that changed my life, and it’s only $2.99 on Kindle. Bless you!

    • Christian Harsana Says: October 20, 2014 at 12:53 am

Thanks for the recommendation Elsie. I’ll check it out =). Blessings.

  40. Happy Birthday! I’ve been wanting to read “Made for More” by Hannah Anderson. It would be so helpful to better understand how I, as a woman, am made in God’s image!

  41. Happy Birthday, and thank you for helping me gather enough great books to read to last through the millennium. : ) (Hard to pass up such incredible deals.)
I’d love to read Francis and Lisa Chan’s new book, “You and Me Forever: Marriage in Light of Eternity.” Wow, does that sound excellent–and applicable to all of us.

  42. Lisa Bowers Crook Says: October 19, 2014 at 1:17 pm

I would love to read “The Best Yes” by Lysa TerKeurst. I’m a pastor’s wife and have two jobs. I heard her at Women of Faith and need to know when I should say yes and when to say no to my sanity!!

  43. Congratulations! Thank you for all your work on this site!

I would like to read Teach Us to Want by Jen Pollock Michel. Triggered by the extremely positive review in Christianity Today, I can’t wait to read this book. I think this is a thought-provoking book, which will help me to understand how God wants to work in my life. Yet in a new way, so I think the positive talk about desire puts things in a new perspective.

  44. Hamptonross Says: October 19, 2014 at 1:37 pm

PROOF: Finding Freedom through the Intoxicating Joy of Irresistible Grace by Montgomery and James. I am constantly amazed and refreshed by the amount of grace God has given His children. Yet I often find myself trying to work things out on my own. This sounds like a book that will help me in my pursuit of God’s joy in my journey.

I’ve been waiting to read “You’ve Got Libya,” the autobiography of Greg Livingstone. Dr. Livingstone is the founder of Muslim-focused mission agency Frontiers. He is a warm-hearted man of God who has been a central figure in missions in the Muslim world for the past forty years. I expect that this will be a rollicking read which is also inspiring as well as informative. Here’s hoping! :)

  49. Happy Birthday! I would like to have “Experiencing God at Home Day by Day: A Family Devotional” by Tom Blackaby and Rick Osborne. We have been doing daily devotionals with our 4 kids (ages 7-15) in the evenings for a couple of months now, and it has really sparked a lot of great spiritual conversations. But I have noticed that a lot of the topics in the book we are using are repetitive or aimed toward younger kids, leaving the older ones disengaged. This book looks like it could be a better fit for our family.

  50. Audrey Misiura Says: October 19, 2014 at 3:12 pm

I would like to read Good News for Weary Women by Elyse Fitzpatrick. I have read other books by Elyse and I appreciate her grace and wisdom.

1.) One New Man: The Cross and Racial Reconciliation in Pauline Theology by Jarvis Williams (Author), Dr. Thomas Schreiner (Foreword). 2.) I want to read this book because I want to deepen my understanding of how the cross of Christ transforms the heart so that both Jew and Gentile are united under a new race, or, become one new man. I have read reviews that this book is heavy on being theological and exegetical in using Scripture passages to present the author’s position. This is very appealing to me because I love learning theology and I want to grow in my understanding of racial reconciliation.

  52. Julie Rolffs Says: October 19, 2014 at 3:42 pm

“The Best Yes” by Lysa TerKeurst. Her writing impacts me and I need to learn about what she’s written in this book.

    Hello,

Thank you for making this offer! Your links have helped me pick up some cheap or free books I’ve been interested in lately. Though I prefer physical books, Kindle is helpful also!

    1) I would like to read “Did the First Christians Worship Jesus?: The New Testament Evidence” by James D.G. Dunn.

    2) I would like to read this book because Mr. Dunn I’ve heard does a great and thorough job of explaining entire subjects he researches. That means he will present both(or more) sides well even if he disagrees with them. This would be a great resource to understand the topic of the first Christians. Along with the study of the words “worship and whether they truly held Jesus up in the same position as he is often held in today.

Thank you for the opportunity and your website.
    -Sean

  54. I’d like to read “The Naked Anabaptist: The Bare Essentials of a Radical Faith” by Stuart Murray, (currently $6.77 on Kindle). I’d like to read this book to get an idea of the basic tenets of the Anabaptist movement without a layer of the Mennonite or Amish traditions over the Anabaptist beliefs. Thank you for the chance to get this book!

  55. The Mom Walk by Sally Clarkson. I have three children ages 1-5, and just need encouragement so many times. Sally Clarkson books are so good for that.

  56. Paul Horne Says: October 19, 2014 at 4:18 pm

Preaching and Preachers by Lloyd Jones. I am studying for my Mdiv and love to learn from some of the best. This is supposed to be a great primer. Mark Dever gave a copy away a few years ago at the Weekender. :D

  57. Adam Tykac Says: October 19, 2014 at 4:36 pm

“Compassion without Compromise” by Adam Barr and Ron Citlau. Homosexuality is such a hot button issue and the church needs to give an answer for this struggle that many deal with.

  58. Happy birthday! Love Gospel eBooks! I would like a Book by Anne Graham Lotz A Vision Of His Glory. I have a hardcopy of it, but am participating in a Bible Study and would like to have it on my Kindle. Thank you for your service and servant heart!

  59. Happy Birthday! Just love your deals on e-books!

  60. John Armstrong Says: October 19, 2014 at 5:43 pm

Happy Birthday! Congratulations, and thank you for all you do to bring us great deals on great books on such a consistent basis! I would like to read Who made God? And other answers to 100 tough questions. I believe we always have to be able to give a reason for the hope that we believe in, as scripture says, and I feel this book would help me and others do that. Thank you once again, and Happy Birthday, wishing you many more!

  61. Morgan Trotter Says: October 19, 2014 at 6:04 pm

Happy birthday! The first two books I thought of didn’t fit the criteria (one was more than $10 and the other is not available as an ebook), so I finally decided the book I would like to have is: “Making Gay Okay: How Rationalizing Homosexual Behavior Is Changing Everything” by Robert R. Reilly. This is a brand new book on a topic at the forefront of our national conversation, and I’ve been told it holds some important insights for understanding why homosexuality is becoming more and more accepted today.

  62. David Blair Says: October 19, 2014 at 6:07 pm

    The Trellis and the Vine

I’d love to read the new book by Francis and Lisa Chan’s new book, “You and Me Forever: Marriage in Light of Eternity.” I’d like to read it with my wife to help in our marriage. I saw their rap music video for the book. Great stuff!

  64. I would like to read “The Wisdom of Tenderness” by Brennan Manning.

Being described as a modern-day letter to the church, seems like an appropriate supplement as I study Philippians with ladies in a materially poor community. With benefits for both the individual and community of believers, I think it would be a great introduction for me to this author of whom I have heard much about, but have yet to read his work.

Happy Birthday! Thanks for a great site! :)

I would also like to read “What Every Christian Needs to Know About the Qur’an.” I love Dr. White’s books and I do not own this one.

  70. I want to read “12 Ordinary Men” by John MacArthur. It’s a wonderful look into how Christ invested in his disciples. There is great hope in realizing that these men were far from perfect, yet were used mightily by God. They were also the men that knew Christ best. It also provides a wonderful model for how we shold model discipleship today.

I’d love to read iGods by Craig Detweiler. I minister to students and this sounds like a book that would help me understand and speak better into their lives, both in discipleship and in evangelism.
    Blessings from Québec!

Happy Birthday! I check in on your site everyday to see what’s new! It’s great to have all the info you provide in one place! There’s a new book by Irene Hannon that I would love to read called Deceived. One of the things my grandma and I share is our love of reading. We have read all of these books and after we read them, we always talk about what we loved about them. She just turned 87 and we have such a strong bond. I can’t wait to hear what she loved about this one!

Congratulations! I wish you many successful years to come. I am a Street Team member and a huge fan of your website. I believe the more resourses available to educate followes of Jesus Christ the better! And, thanks to your deligence and committment you are making it possible for those of us who aren’t financially well-off to build a fantastic E-library of Bibles, Commentaries, and books of just about every genre I can think of! If I am one of those fortunate enough to be chosen for a free e-book, I have always wanted to read, Cosmic Codes by Dr. Chuck Missler. I love the Bible and Dr. Misslers keen insight opens my eyes to new truths, and deeper insights, in God’s wonderful Word.

  94. I’d love to get a digital version of “Desiring God” by John Piper. I used to have a physical copy, but while I was reading it one day, it opened up a door for conversation with a stranger who was very interested in it, and I ended up giving him my copy. I only got through the first chapter, so I’d love to be able to read the rest of it!

Happy Birthday! Thank your for this site, I check it each and every day!

    1) The ebook I would like to read is God’s Glory in Salvation through Judgment: A Biblical Theology by James Hamilton.

    2) I want to read this book because last week in the Men’s Discipleship group at my church, we read an article by James Hamilton about the importance of Biblical Theology and how helpful in can be to understand the big story line of Scripture. I want to read this book so that I can understand Scripture better and lead my family in the understanding of God.

    Thank you for your generosity!

  96. “Freedom of Self-Forgetfulness” by Tim Keller. It’s under 5 dollars. I hear that it’s a short but worthwhile read on identity and the Gospel.

  98. I would like to read J.I. Packer’s ‘Knowing God’, because I started it long ago and would love to finish it. I hope it will help me grow in the knowledge and love of God and of His Son Jesus Christ our Lord!

  99. I love to read! Thanks for operating this website! I have been following you for about a year and now have many great books to read. I would like to read “What We Cant Not Know” by J.
