IN The Mashiah, author Mark Stouffer delves into the ancient prophecies of the Tanakh, seeking to understand exactly what the Biblical authors were predicting. Building upon a foundation of scholarship and prayer, Mark examines the Tanakh’s messianic prophecies to see how strongly they foretell the life and mission of Jesus. Please join him on this journey of discovery.

Some of the questions we will consider in The Mashiah include:

Did the prophets give any indication that there would be two comings of the Messiah?
Why did Daniel predict that the Messiah would be killed?
Why did Zechariah prophesy that the Messiah will come at the end of time and have wounds?
This book is for Jewish people who want to know the truth about Jesus. It is also good for Christians who want to learn about the Tanakh, or Old Testament.

We often imagine Jesus as the ultimate peacemaker, as one who saw all sides and kindly overlooked differences of belief or practice. The Gospels say this was not so.Jesus drew sharp lines. He disagreed with many. He rejected being broadminded on a variety of topics. He engaged in vigorous debate, especially with several different groups of religious leaders. What conflicts did he have?

He argued that we would experience a supernatural afterlife, that our natural existence is not all God has planned.
He disagreed that human tradition should not supersede Scripture, our foundational authority.
He clashed on whether the Bible was not an end in itself, contending that its purpose pointed beyond itself.
He sharply articulated that God accept us by virtue of what we receive from him, not by what we do for him.
These and other controversies clarify the core distinctives of the Christian faith which, John Stott boldly asserts, are nothing less than the distinctives of the evangelical faith. This text of Stott’s classic, Christ the Controversialist, now edited by David Stone for the twenty-first century, was controversial when it was first published. It is no less controversial today.

The Gospel According to Isaiah 53 presents the redemptive work of the Messiah to the Jewish community,
exploring issues of atonement and redemption in light of Isaiah chapter 53. It is clear that Jesus fulfills the
specifications of the suffering servant of Isaiah 53.

This book has many potential uses in its presentation of the gospel for Jewish people. Pastors
who study it will find unparalleled help in preparing Bible studies and sermons, so that their listeners will
become better equipped to tell Jewish people about Jesus. It will be beneficial as supplemental reading for classes on Isaiah, the Prophets, and Jewish evangelism. And believers will be trained to share Isaiah 53 with
Jewish friends and family.

The true story of five young twentieth-century martyrs.

In 1956, five young men traveled deep into the jungles of Ecuador to establish communication and share the gospel with the fierce and isolated Waorani tribe. In nearby villages, their wives huddled around radio receivers, eagerly awaiting news of the historic encounter. The news they received sent shock waves around the world and changed their lives forever.

Beautifully told through the eyes of Elisabeth Elliot, in partnership with the other four missionaries’ wives, and featuring original diary entries and photos, Through Gates of Splendor is a timeless classic, a harrowing story of self-sacrifice, and a powerful wake-up call to anyone pondering the call to follow Christ…. wherever he may lead.
