Yesterday we posted a huge sale from Amazon which featured over 45 Christian e-books discounted to $3.99 or less. When there’s so many e-books to choose from, do you ever wonder which titles people are buying off the lists? We were curious, so we thought we’d let you know the answers too.
The following is a list of the 10 biggest sellers on Gospel eBooks based off first day sales.

#9: What Jesus Demands from the World
#8: I Told Me So: Self-Deception and the Christian Life
#7: What Is the Gospel?
#6: Doctrine: What Christians Should Believe
#5: Lead Your Family Like Jesus: Powerful Parenting Principles from the Creator of Families
#4: Don’t Waste Your Life
#3: The Ultimate Conversation: Talking with God Through Prayer

and the #1 purchased book yesterday was….
What’s interesting was there wasn’t one fiction book in the top 10. You all sure love your non-fiction books :)

I purchased four books yesterday myself. I purchased “The Purpose of Man” by Tozer, “The Ultimate Conversation” by Charles Stanley, “Don’t Waste Your Life” and “What Jesus Demands From The World” by John Piper. Thanks for your site, I appreciate it. God Bless
99% of the non-fiction “Christian” books are in my opinion, pure nonsense “. Filled with Amish doctors, love starved pioneer women, angry men made lovin’ and sweet by good women who make good biscuits and strong coffee. There’s prairies, mill ponds and the un-bliblical notion of just asking God into your heart. Orphaned children (one is always angry but comes around in the end) falling out of covered wagons who then get fevers and “near die”. Flower shop owners, men appearing in the town who’ve been gone for 17 years due to some goofy tragedy…etc. I only glance at some of the descriptions and one thing that really bothers me is, how can a real live husbands stack up to the dream men in these books? He can’t, he probably didn’t fall off the turnip truck so the average guy’s life and marriage is not as good and Godly as it should be because some hero name Josiah, who is strong and patient and caring and dang near perfect, just milked the cow and looked in Betsy’s eyes and she knew then, he was gonna’ go to the little white church that her daddy built. While good old Frank’s sitting in recliner watching football, he loves you, prays for you, but he didn’t fall off a hay wagon or get amnesia. Poor guy, he’ll never do any of it right and neither will you with your curious nose stuck in one of those books dreaming of a “better life” a simpler life. Frank does not stand a chance. There is a book that asks, “What if marriage was meant to make you holy, not happy.” Think about it. This type of sexual fantasy is just plain wrong for a Christian woman to indulge in.. .
I agree. For a man, “porn” involves looking at airbrushed bodies. For women, “porn” involves reading about airbrushed character. In both cases, the fantasy is a disservice to the real live person we’re supposed to be loving.
