This Christian children’s book is a collection of short stories about seven preteen friends who overcome individual issues with the help of each other and with the comfort and peace that come from calling upon God. From Clement’s anxiety regarding his special needs to Anah being ghosted by her best friend, these tweens have one thing in common: they watch out for each other.
Each character’s name has significance to their personalities, and the stories are sprinkled with contemporary tween slang, which makes them more relatable. Sorena is a feisty one, yet self-controlled and wants to fit in with the older kids. Adelaide is more demure and kind. Clement is a gentle and merciful soul who is quick to turn to God for help. Tobias shows the goodness of God through his understanding of others who are hurting. Anah is patient, and knows how to persevere through difficult issues. Godfrey walks with the peace of God and is one they all turn to help solve issues. Fidelia is a faithful friend, a fashionista who deals with lack of trust and also the importance of safety for social media.
There are questions after each story to reflect, and you will likely relate to the arduous issues affecting society’s children today.
