Churches and pastors in the local church do a fantastic job of getting people to accept Christ and be saved, but when it comes to practical steps after the immersion, we as a church could do much better. In the Bible, Ephesians 6:11 talks about putting on the armor of God, and believe me, you will need every bit of armor to withstand the daily onslaught that Satan throws at you. Each chapter of my book has an opening scripture for you to read and meditate on. It also has a “Halftime Scripture” to read and meditate on halfway through each chapter. At the end of the chapters are “Keep it simple steps,” a proverb to read, and a verse about baptism to look up and write on the blank line on the next page if you want to.
